This service is essentially an inspection and test of the wiring installation from the incoming mains cable through to final circuits.
Fixed Wire Testing is a legal responsibility
Failure to carry out your fixed wire testing you are breaching the following regulations
- Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
- Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
- Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1992
- Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999
These regulations are enforced by the HSE (Government’s Health & Safety Executive).
Moving House or a Landlord?
You may get asked for this report when you move house or if you are a Landlord and rent a property. The objective is to establish that the installation is safe and compliant with current IET wiring regulations. All our testing engineers are fully qualified and very experienced in providing a testing programme that minimises disruption to you the client.
Consistent with all of the work we carry out, a comprehensive NICEIC report will be issued on completion. We will list all departures from the current IET wiring regulations according to their level of importance and circuit charts will be produced with details of each circuit tested.
